Odisha court allows CBI to take two Ponzi firm directors on 4-day remand

The Spl. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court here Friday allowed the Central investigation agency probing the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam on Supreme Court directions to take Arun Chaturvedi and Varun Chaturvedi-directors of Ponzi firm Magnum Group on a four-day remand for interrogation.

Earlier in the day, the CBI which had got the duo on transit remand from Lucknow produced them before the court here.
The duo has allegedly duped several crores from gullible depositors across the country by promising them high returns on their deposits.
Prior to CBI getting them on transit remand the two were lodged in the Lucknow jail.
