A local court in Odisha today granted bail to gangster Sandeep Acharya alias Raja in a case pertaining to abduction of Arun Mantri, brother of Ollywood actress Bidusmita Mohapatra.

Additional District Judge-I court today granted bail on condition of furnishing two bailers and Rs 30, 000 surety.

The court had yesterday reserved the verdict.

Notably, the history-sheeter was sentenced to four-year jail term by a trial court here in October 2011 for abducting Arun Mantri in April 2008.

Few day later, judo coach Biranchi Das was shot dead by the gangster here near Kalpana Square.
