Paul was produced before the Court as the earlier three-day remand granted by it ended today.

The TMC MP was brought to Bhubaneswar from Kolkata by the CBI on December 31 last year after his arrest on December 30 and was produced before the Special CBI Court here which had granted the investigating agency a three-day remand of the MP.

Earlier in the day, Paul’s daughter appeared before the CBI here today. This was her second appearance before the investigating agency, the earlier one being yesterday.

Meanwhile, according to reports from KolKata, another TMC MP Sudip Bandopadhay was arrested today by the CBI for dodging summons for interrogation in connection with his alleged complicity in the Rose Valley chit fund scam.

Sources said the lawmaker is likely to be flown to Bhubaneswar by the CBI for questioning.
