Bhubaneswar:Â Odisha's COVID-19 tally surged to 4677 with 165 fresh cases were reported today, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
Of the new cases, 140 were reported from different quarantine centres and 25 are local contacts.
A total number of 4383 samples was tested in last 24 hours, of which 154 cases have been detected COVID-19 positive in 17 districts. The remaining 11 cases are personnel returned from Cyclone AMPHAN duty in West Bengal.
Ganjam district reported the highest number of 41 COVID-19 positive cases followed by Balasore (21) and Cuttack (20).

- Bolangir: 2
- Mayurbhanj: 3
- Koraput: 1
With this, the total number of active cases reached 1519. While the recovered cases are 3144 in the State, 11 patients have succumbed to the deadly virus so far.
