Odisha COVID hosp manager among two detained for misbehaving with nurse

Balasore: The Balasore Sadar police have detained two persons, including the manager of a COVID hospital, for allegedly misbehaving with a nurse working at the healthcare facility.

As per a police complaint lodged by the nurse working at Balasore COVID hospital, Sachidananda Padhi, the hospital manager, sent her objectionable messages and videos on mobile phone.

She further alleged that Padhi forced her to talk to him during duty hours and threatened her of suspending her if she refused to do so.

The complainant also alleged that pharmacists of the hospital misbehaved with 14 nurses appointed at the hospital. Acting on the complaint, which bore signatures of other nurses also, police have detained Padhi and one of the pharmacists for questioning.
