Odisha creates 5,000 new posts in Health dept; check details

Bhubaneswar: The state government has created 5,000 new posts of Leave Training Reserve Medical Officer (LTRMO) in the rank of Group-A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS) cadre to provide proper healthcare to the people.

The new posts have been created at the District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs), various Sub-Divisional hospitals, community health centres (CHHs), Capital Hospital and Rourkela Government Hospital, said Health and Family Welfare department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shalini Pandit in a letter to the Principal Accountant General (A&E) in Odisha today.

According to Pandit, a total of 689 LTRMO posts have been created in various DHHs, Capital Hospital and Rourkela Government Hospital.

Altogether 480 LTRMO posts have been created at 32 Sub-Divisional Hospitals (15 each) across the state.

As many as 3,750 new LTRMO posts have been created at 375 CHHs (10 each) in Odisha, said Pandit.

Besides, a total of 81 new medical officer posts have been created at various Urban Community Health Centres (UCHCs) in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sundargarh, added the Health Secretary.
