Odisha Cricket Association elections today

Cuttack: Elections of the office-bearers of Odisha Cricket Association(OCA) will be conducted at its Conference Hall in Barabati Stadium here today.

The election, scheduled to begin at 11 AM, will be held for a total of six posts-President, Vice-president, Secretary, Joint-secretary, Treasurer and Councilor for Apex Council.

It is pertinent to mention here that OCA former Secretary Ashirbad Behera’s son Sanjay Behera is in the race for the Secretary post. The ex-Secretary was arrested by CBI from his residence in Cuttack earlier this month over his alleged involvement in the Artha Tatwa chit fund scam.

Worth mentioning, this will be the first OCA elections to be held after implementation of the Supreme Court-appointed Justice Rajendra Mal Lodha Committee’s recommendations to overhaul cricket administration in the country.
