Odisha crosses 4 crore mark in COVID-19 vaccination

Bhubaneswar: Achieving yet another milestone in the battle against COVID-19, Odisha today crossed four crore mark in COVID-19 vaccination.

As per official data, the state administered over 1 crore vaccine shots in less than two months as it had crossed 3-crore vaccination mark on September 28.

Sharing the information, Health and Family Welfare Department said, “Happy to share that Odisha has crossed a new milestone by completing four crore COVID-19 vaccination. All thanks to the combined efforts of the Health team and the people of the state.”

As per the data available on CoWIN portal, the state has cumulatively administered 4,00,09,356 vaccine doses so far. While 1,33,08,370 people have been fully vaccinated in the state, 2,67,00,986 received first dose. The beneficiaries include 2,22,02,515 in the age group of 18-44 years and 1,08,70,679 in 45-60 age group. Ganjam district has administered highest 40,97,979 doses followed by Khordha (36,82,063) and Cuttack (23,40,175).

Today, 1,22,586 people were inoculated at 2088 centres, including 33 private facilities till the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the vaccination coverage in the country has crossed 111 crore-mark.
