Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) will provide special bus service during this year’s Rath Jatra at Odisha’s Puri town.
The CRUT will run altogether 33 buses from various places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Khurda and Kakatpur to Talabania bus stand at Puri at regular intervals from July 7 to 9 and July 15 to 17.
The buses will run from Bhubaneswar railway station and Baramunda bus stand in the capital city; National Law University, Mahanadi Vihar and Jagatpur in Cuttack; Khurda via Jatni and Kakatpur via Marine Drive and Konark.
The fare for the intercity routes will be flat Rs 80 for non-AC buses and Rs 100 for AC buses.
The fare for intra-city bus service (shuttle service) from Malatipatpur to Talabania at Puri will be Rs 20.
“Buses will ply throughout the day at regular intervals for the convenience of the devotees. We request the commuters to stay connected to our social media handles and website for further updates,” said the CRUT in a statement today.
