Odisha: Curfew imposed in Kendrapara town till tomorrow

Kendrapara: The Kendrapara district administration today clamped curfew in the town after tension continued to grip the township following a group clash yesterday.

District Sub-Collector Sanjay Kumar Mishra imposed the curfew till 8 AM tomorrow.

Earlier in the day, the Rashtriya Suraksha Manch resorted to a 12-hour bandh after the district administration yesterday clamped Section 144 in the town follwing a group clash that erupted during Netaji Jayanti celebration at Kendrapara Government High School Ground.

In view of the bandh, the district administration announced closure of all educational institutions under Kendrapara Municipality jurisdiction. Besides, internet service in the district has been suspended following tension in the area.
