Bhubaneswar: Previously announced cut-off date for the enrolment of farmers under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for Kharif crops in 2023 was extended today upto August 5.

According to an official source, taking into consideration the interest of the farmers in the State, Government of India consented and approved to extend the cut-off date (COD) for enrolment of the farmers for all crops notified under PMFBY from 31 July 2023 to 5th August 2023. The Gol premium share shall be payable during the extended period.

“Loanee and non-loanee farmers can now register through their respective Banks/PACS/LAMPCS, CSCs, Insurance Company agents and NCIP Portal. Farmers are requested to please gear up and achieve their assigned target by the extended timeline,” the official source mentioned.

“As a team, let’s deliver the very best, and enroll a maximum number of farmers to benefit them from the State Govt decision of bearing farmers' share of the premium up to two hectares,” Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary of Cooperation said.
