Odisha: Data Entry Operator at Drugs Inspector office lands in Vigilance net

Jagatsinghpur: The Vigilance officials today arrested a Data Entry Operator working at the Drugs Inspector office in Jagatsinghpur district for allegedly accepting bribe to process the file for issuance of a drugs license.

Based on a complaint lodged by one Suvendu Swain from Badalahanga village, the sleuths of Cuttack Division laid a trap and caught the Data Entry Operator, Tapan Kumar Sethi red handed while accepting Rs 10,000 bribe.

Sethi demanded and accepted the bribe from Swain to process the file for issuance of a drugs license in favor of the complainant.

A statement issued by the Vigilance office stated the bribe amount has been recovered from the Data Entry Operator.

In this connection a case has been registered at the Cuttack Vigilance PS.
