Odisha: Deadline for obtaining PUC certificate extended

Cuttack: In view of the extension of nationwide lockdown, a measure taken by the Centre to prevent spread of deadly COVID-19, the State Transport Authority, Odisha today relaxed norms for vehicle owners to obtain the pollution under control (PUC) certificate.

In an order, the transport authority said as the pollution testing centres have been closed due to the lockdown, the PUC certificate expiring from March 22, 2020 will be valid till June 30, 2020.

Similarly, stage carriages permits and inter-state counter signature permits expiring from March 22, 2020 will be valid till June 30, 2020.

The order further stated the allotment of fancy/choice registration number booked from February 1, 2020 is allowed to register the vehicle up to June 30, 2020.

The validity of temporary registration of BS-VI vehicles expiring from March 22 will be valid till June 30, the order added.
