Odisha: Deadline for submission of Life certificate of pensioners extended

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to ensure service delivery at the doorstep of the pensioners under the initiative of 5T and Mo Sarkar amid the challenging times of Covid-19 pandemic, the Odisha government today extended deadline for submission of Life Certificate for pensioners.

In a statement, the Finance Department said pensioners can submit the Life Certificate till May 2021. Similarly, dateline for periodic submission of non-marriage and remarriage declaration and submission of non-employment certificate were extended till the end of May, 2021.

The deadline for disbursement of pension for the first time without the physical presence of pensioner or family pensioner has also been extended. Disbursement of Gratuity Payment Order or Commuted Value of Pension (CVP) without the physical presence of pensioner and family pensioner was also extended till May 2021.

The department requested pensioners and family pensioners to avoid visiting treasuries or banks during the period in which Covid-19 restrictions in force.
