Odisha: Decks cleared for this year’s Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra

Bhubaneswar: After a gap of two years, the Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra Committee is all set to hold the annual fair on Kuakhai riverbank in the capital city here.

The Khordha district administration and the Commissionerate Police have given their nod to Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra, sources said.

Khordha Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy and Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prateek Singh have given the required permission for the annual fair on Kuakhai riverbanks, said Bhubaneswar Bali Yatra Committee Secretary Tapan Kumar Baliarsingh.

The fair would be held from November 8 to 16. This year’s fair would have around 600 stalls, he added.

The annual fair was suspended in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
