Odisha DGP reviews LWE activities in Malkangiri, hails Corona Warriors

Malkangir: Odisha DGP Abhay accompanied by other senior officials of the state police visited
Malkangiri district and reviewed Left Wing Extremism (LWE) scenario .

While interacting with senior officers of the district police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and reviewed the security response as well as developmental activities going on in the area. He also Interacted with police personnel on COVID-19 duty and other field officers and appreciated their good work. He also issued appreciation certificates to Corona Warriors, who promptly joined duty after recovery from the deadly disease.

The DGP also reviewed anti-drug operation and other issues in the district.

It is pertinent to mention here that despite proactive security response and developmental interventions, LWE menace remains challenging in many parts of the Maoist-infested district, particularly in Swabhiman Anchal (cut-off area) and Tulsi Dongri area and to an extent of Kalimela area.
