Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay praised the personnel of the Commissionerate Police for their outstanding work during the pandemic situation.
During an address on the occasion of the 13th Raising Day ceremony of Commissionerate Police here, the DGP said because of the Covid-19 situation the workload of the Commissionerate Police increased and its personnel did an outstanding work during such situation. He also congratulated the Commissionerate Police for launching crackdown against food adulteration and cracking several organized crime cases inclduing, IIFL loot.
Worth mentinong, the Commissionerate Police was set up in the State in 2008.
Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sekhar Sarangi today said without their help it would have been difficult for the Commissionerate Police to maintain law and order during the pandemic situation.
He further said the year of 2020 was quite challenging and the officials worked hard to handle the situation.
Sarangi further stated had the people of the twin cities not cooperated, it would have been a herculean task for the Commissionerate Police to maintain law and order.
Also, the DGP awarded and felicitated officers of the Commissionerate Police for their contribution during the pandemic situation and probing crime cases successfully.
