Odisha: Dreaded criminal Timan arrested for abduction
Bhubaneswar: Bolangir Sadar Police today arrested dreaded criminal Srikant Kumbhar alias Timan on charges of assaulting and abducting a person over land dispute.
The police arrested Timan, who was released from jail on bail six months ago, from a rented house in Patia area here. He was later produced before court today.

Worth mentioning, Timan and his 12 associates are accused of extortion, tender fixing and land grabbing.
According to sources, a person had planned to sell his 11 acres land in Dhumamara of Bolangir district and had taken the help of Timan for the same. However, one Purusottam Patel, who had share in the land, opposed the deal. Later, Timan and his associates assaulted Purusottam and abducted him.
