Odisha effects IAS reshuffle; check details

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a minor reshuffle in the IAS cadre of the state.

Yamini Sarangi, a 2008-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS).  Sarangi was earlier working as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the General Administration and Public Grievances department.

The post of State Project Director, OAVS, has been declared equivalent in the status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary in Odisha.

Sarangi has also been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary to the Finance department, said a notification issued by the General Administration of Public Grievances department today.

Incumbent State Project Director, OAVS, Sangarm Keshari Maohapatra, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has transferred and appointed as the Additional Secretary to School and Mass Education department.

Vedbhushan, a 2020-batch IAS officer has been appointed as the Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation. He was earlier working as the Sub-Collector of Dharmagarh with additional charge of Executive Officer Dharamgarh NAC.

The post of Commissioner, Sambalpur Municipal Corporation, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Under Secretary in Odisha.

Nrusingh Ch. Swain, OAS (SS), Special Secretary to Finance department has been transferred and posted as the Collector and District Magistrate of Boudh, added the notification.
