Odisha effects major bureaucratic reshuffle, new BMC commissioner appointed

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the IAS and OAS levels with 33 officers getting new assignments.

Prem Chandra Chaudhary, who was serving as Kendrapara Collector, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited and Vice Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority.

Aditya Mohapatra, Joint Secretary, Electronics & IT Department has been posted as Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in addition to his existing charges.

Odisha State Medical Corporation MD Archana Patnaik has been posted as MD of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation with additional charge of Special Secretary of Water Resources Department.

Additional Secretary to Chief Minister, Niranjan Sahu has been posted as Director, Higher Education with additional charge of Labour Commissioner, Odisha.

Board of Revenue Secretary Prasanta Kumar Senapati has been appointed as Inspector General of Registration, Cuttack.

Dasarathi Satpathy has been posted as Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretary while Nirmal Chandra Mishra has been appointed as Director, Tourism Department with additional charge of MD, OTDC.

Labour Commissioner and ESI Director Anjan Kumar Manik has been appointed as Excise Commissioner, Cuttack. Similarly, Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik has been appointed as Registrar, Cooperative Societies. Tribikram Pradhan has been posted as Additional Secretary, Excise Department.

Cuttack Collector Aravind Agarwal has been posted as Director, Social Welfare, Women & Child Development and Mission Shakti and CEO of OMBADC.

Cuttack Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sarat Chandra Nayak has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department. Yamini Sarangi has been posted as Managing Director of Odisha State Medical Corporation.

Khurda Collector Bhupendra Poonia has been posted as State Project Director of OPEPA with additional charge of Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan and SPD, RMSA, Bhubaneswar.

Jagatsinghpur Collector Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.

BMC Commissioner and BDA Vice Chairman Samarth Verma has been appointed as Kendrapada Collector. Reghu G has been posted as Director, Technical Education and Training, Cuttack.

Koraput Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy has been posted as Balasore Collector while Nuapada Collector Poma Tudu has been appointed as Koraput Collector. Madhusmita Sahoo has been appointed as Nuapada Collector.

Surendra Kumar Meena, MD of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation has been appointed as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Cuttack.

Abdaal Akhtar has been appointed as PD (I/c) District Rural Development Authority, Cuttack. BMC Additional Commissioner Ananya Das has been posted as Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner.

Lalatendu Mishra has been posted as Boudh Collector and Sitansu Kumar Rout as Khurda Collector. Bhabani Shankar Chayani has been appointed as Cuttack Collector with additional charge of Vice Chairman, Cuttack Development Authority.

Sangram Keshari Mohapatra has been appointed as Jagatsinghpur Collector while Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan has been posted as Jharsuguda Collector.

Project Director, OPEPA, Jyoti Prakash Das has been appointed as Director, Textiles with additional charge of MD, Boyanika. Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department, Krupasindhu Mishra has been appointed as Director, Information and Public Relations.

Balasore Collector Ramesh Chandra Rout has been appointed as Director, ESI, Bhubaneswar. Jharsuguda Collector Bibhuti Bhusan Das has been posted as Additional Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

Eminent educationist Bijoy Sahoo has been appointed as Advisor, Odisha Adarsa Vidyalaya Sangathan in the rank and status of minister of state.

Subroto Bagchi, who had stepped down from the post of Chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) in March this year, has been re-appointed as OSDA Chairman in the rank and status of a cabinet minister.
