Odisha: Elderly woman dies, daughter-in-law injured in wall collapse

Bhawanipatna: A 70-year-old woman died while her daughter-in-law suffered critical injuries after a wall of their house collapsed on them following incessant rain at Goshalapada here in Kalahandi district late night.

However, injured Jashobanti Singh is undergoing  treatment at the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here.

Sources said Jashobanti and her mother-in-law Ranimati were preparing food last night when a wall of their kitchen collapsed. Though family members rushed the two to the DHH, doctors declared the elderly woman dead.
