Koraput: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hit the campaign trail for his party Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the ensuing general elections to the Assembly and Lok Sabha in Odisha.

Addressing the crowd in Koraput, the second election campaign in southern Odisha for the forthcoming polls, Patnaik asked about all the welfare schemes launched by his government during his regime in the state.

"How is BSKY going on? What about Mamata Yojana, LAccMI bus scheme, Mission Shakti, students' scholarship, and KALIA scheme? the BJD supremo asked people.

He alleged opposition parties of spreading lies about his government.

"The Opposition members are telling you lie. Only they are shedding crocodile tears," Patnaik said seeking votes for the BJD in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.

The BJD has fielded Kausalya Hikaka as MP candidate from Koraput Lok Sabha Constituency and selected candidates for seven Assembly seats under the parliamentary constituency that will go to polls on May 13.
