Odisha elections: Three polling officials suspended for influencing voters

Jajpur: With the elections fever reaching an all time high as Odisha is undergoing polls in its fourth and final phase of elections, today, an incident of election officials allegedly influencing voters has come to light, here.

According to sources, Dhirendra Tripathy, Baikuntha Mallick and Janardan Prusty have been suspended by Jajpur Collector for attempting to affect voter decision in the ongoing elections, as proved by CCTV footage.

While Prusty is the fourth polling officer of booth no.196 in Sukinda, Tripathy and Mallick are presiding officers of booth no.s 135 and 191 in Binjharpur.

Furthermore, the collector has also ordered the arrest of Mallick as serious allegations have been levied against him.
