Odisha: Employer posts woman’s obscene pics on social media

Rourkela: Owner of an incense sticks factory at Chhend Colony in Odisha’s Rourkela has allegedly posted obscene photos of a woman employee on social media, police said today.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the woman, Raghunathpali police have registered a case against the accused, identified as Maheswar Prusty.

According to reports, Prusty had earlier raped the woman and clicked some objectionable photos. Later, he blackmailed her with the photos and forced her to have physical relation with him, to which she resisted.

The accused then created a fake Facebook profile of the woman and posted the obscene photos from the account. He has absconded after registration of the case.

“We are conducting raids at various places to apprehend the accused. Investigation into the matter is underway,” a police official said.
