Odisha fanboy runs away from home to meet actor Akshay Kumar

Sundargarh: A strong desire to meet Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar drove a school student to flee his home in Odisha to Mumbai.

This came to fore after the fanboy was rescued near the actor’s residence on Tuesday in Mumbai.

According to reports, the Class 10 student of Sri Aurobindo School in Sundargarh district had run away from home on August 9. He arranged money by selling his smartphone that was given by his parents for online classes and boarded a train from Jharsuguda to his destination.

After failing to find him at home, his parents lodged a missing complaint with Town Police on August 10. His whereabout was ascertained when his teacher Anjan Das received a call from a private security guard of the Bollywood actor in the afternoon on the same day.

Report said that the minor boy was found crying in front of Akshay Kumar’s residence in Mumbai. The personnel deployed for security of the actor collected necessary information from him for further communication with the police.

The teacher, who was contacted by Akshay Kumar’s security guard, immediately informed the distressed parents about their son as well as the Town Police for necessary action to bring him back to home safely.

The local police of Sundargarh district contacted the actor’s security guards and requested them to keep the fanboy in their custody.

A team of Town Police and Rourkela Child Protection Unit has headed for Mumbai to bring the student back to home, informed Town Police IIC Suryakanti Das.
