Mumbai: Odisha-born ad-film maker Dayanidhi Dahima is creating ripples in Bollywood as his maiden short movie produced by him has been shortlisted for the Filmfare Short Film Awards-2020.
‘Nawab’ is among the 35 shortlisted entries for this edition of the prestigious award. It is the first movie from Odisha to have found place in the list.
The less than 20-minute movie features Aparshakti Khurana, Mallika Dua, Maria Goretti and Geetika Vidya.
The short film has been written and directed by Mansi Jain and produced by Big Banner Films in association with Daya Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
The 28-year-old youth from Rajgangpur shifted his base to Mumbai where he forayed into filmmaking. After completing filmmaking course from FTII, Pune, he tried his hands on ad-film making in Odisha. Later, he also got into celebrity management business prior to his entry into Bollywood.
