Odisha: Fire breaks out at Keonjhar hospital

Keonjhar: Patients undergoing treatment at the Keonjhar district headquarters hospital (DHH) here had a narrow escape after a fire broke out at the hospital this morning.

Sources said a fire erupted at the surgery ward of the hospital. Around 40 patients, who were undergoing treatment in the ward, were immediately shifted to safety place. Though the exact cause behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, short circuit is suspected to have led to the incident.

Meanwhile, fire personnel were pressed into service to douse the flames till last reports came in .
