Odisha: Five-day Konark Festival kicks off

Konark: The much-awaited five-day Konark Festival was inaugurated by Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal this evening. The 30th edition of Konark Festival, a showcase of Odisha’s art, culture and tradition will conclude on December 5. The open-air auditorium with the majestic Sun Temple in the backdrop will host classical dances and music.

Artistes of international repute will display their artistic skills during the festival making spectators spell bound and leaving them mesmerized.

Odissi dance was performed on the inaugural day of the festival. As per the schedule, Kathak dance will be performed on the last day of the festival.

The administration has made elaborate arrangements for an international sand art festival at the golden beach of Chandrabhaga. Odisha Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi inaugurated the sand art festival.
