Odisha forest fire makes life uneasy for villagers

Forest fires burning for the last two days in the Tangi forest range in Nauchuni area has affected  the lives of the local people severely.

The forest has been raging uncontrolled in Sulia and Pandavasini jungle areas since Saturday and has burnt nearly 50 acres of jungle area, the locals allege.

They have  alleged that the forest officials are not taking any action to curb the blaze.

The villagers are finding it very difficult to carry on with their daily rituals with smoke and  heat generated by the forest fire.
