Odisha: Forest Ranger held for misbehaving with woman colleague

Malkangiri: A Forest Ranger was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a woman Forest Guard in Malkangiri district today.

According to reports, the woman Forest Guard had informed the higher-ups on December 22, 2019, alleging that the Forest Ranger of Kendu leaf division Bijaya Kumar Nayak misbehaved with her. When no action was initiated against Bijaya Kumar, the woman Forest Guard lodged a complaint at Malkangiri police station on January 9.

Based on the complaint, the police officials of Malkangiri PS questioned the Forest Ranger before arresting him today morning.

Sources said the Forest Ranger will be produced in the court this evening.
