Khordha: Baidyanath Nayak, former Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Khordha, was today arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a pregnant woman.

As per a complaint lodged by the woman with Khordha police, she had gone to the clinic of Nayak yesterday for a regular health checkup, during which the accused misbehaved with her.

Acting on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and arrested Nayak while he was present at his clinic today. He was later sent for medical examination.
