Odisha girl molested in moving vehicle; cops inaction alleged

Bhadrak: A woman today alleged police inaction even three days after she lodged a complaint alleging she was molested by two youths in a moving vehicle in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.

According to information, the girl, a resident of Dhamnagar area in the district, was offered lift by two youths when she was waiting for bus to reach her village.

She claimed that she had jumped out of the vehicle and ran towards a petrol pump when the youths tried to molest her inside the vehicle, the complaint stated.

Following this, her parents along with Bhadrak Surakhya Manch Secretary Bhabendra Kumar Sahu lodged a complaint with Dhamnagar police seeking immediate arrest of the accused.

Her parents alleged that the police has not taken any action despite their daughter claiming to have known the accused and can identify the duo.

Meanwhile, a CCTV footage has been recovered from the spot which captured the entire incident.
