Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today modified its previous order regarding restriction on grant of leave for officers till June 30.

As per the partial modification, it has been decided that officers will be allowed to avail leave, subject to the condition that they shall return from leave and join at their place of posting immediately, in case of any exigency. They shall also be available on mobile without fail.

In view of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Council of Ministers and assumption of charges by the new government, the General Administration & Public Grievances department had earlier clamped a restriction on the grant of leave and absence from headquarters.

All state government officials were asked to remain available at their respective headquarters, even on public holidays, till June 30 to attend to any urgent assignments that may emerge in the coming days due to the formation of new government.
