Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today allowed seven days leave to its employees who test positive for Covid-19. In a letter to district administrations, departments, RDCs and Collectors, the General Administration and Public Grievance department stated in the present situation of third Covid wave, it has been decided that seven days leave is to be allowed in case any employee gets the COVID-19 infection. This directive will come into force with immediate effect.

The letter added if any State government employee remains on leave beyond seven days, the leave can be granted on production of medical certificate.

After resuming the duties, the concerned employee must self-observe for seven days and follow Covid appropriate behaviour.
