Odisha Govt announces insurance for journalists covering COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Acknowledging the contribution of media in battle against COVID-19 in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced insurance for working journalists covering reports related to the pandemic and face highest risk of contracting the infection.

As per announcement, the families of journalists will be provided the insurance amount of Rs 15 lakh if they die of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Earlier, CM Patnaik had announced insurance amount of Rs 50 lakh for doctors, health workers and paramedics, who are working to tackle the spread of COVID-19.
