Odisha government today issued the much-awaited notification announcing modalities for regularizing appointment of Gana Sikshaks in the state.
The notification published after its approval by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will benefit as many as 16,868 Gana Sikshaks.
According to the modalities published in the notification, Gana Sikshaks with requisite qualifications will be regularized on him/her completing eight years of satisfactory performance.
District level committee after due scrutiny of related records will decide on regularization of Gana Sikshaks.
Gana Sikshaks found eligible for regularization under the modalities will be considered as level-V primary teacher. They will draw salary equivalent to level-V primary teacher.
