Odisha Govt announces reopening of schools for Class 10 and 12

Bhubaneswar: In view of inconveniences faced by students for online classes due to poor network in rural and remote areas, Odisha Government has decided to reopen the schools for Class 10 and 12 students.

The schools both government and private will reopen from July 26 for Class 10 and 12 students for offline classes,” informed School & Mass Education Secretary Satyabrata Sahoo today.

The classes will be held from 10.00 AM upto 1.30 PM for the students without recess hour.

The schools will remain closed on all government holidays.

However, the district collectors will take a final call on reopening of schools after reviewing the COVID situation in their concerned districts.

Meanwhile, the State Government is also planning to reopen the schools for Class 9 and 11 students from August 16 and September 15 respectively.

“We are planning to reopen the schools for Class 9 and 11. The classes for Class 11 students will be held from September 15 after completion of admission into Plus II courses,” he further informed.
