Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed Susanta Kumar Mohanty as the State Information Commissioner under Sub-Section (3) of Section 15 of the Right To Information Act 2005.

A committee formed under the above said Sub Section had recommended Mohanty for the post, said a notification issued by the Information and Public Relations department today.

Notably, Odisha Information Commission was constituted by the state government through I&PR department notification no. 495/2005 in October 2005. The commission came into existence On November 20, 2005.

The state government appoints a State Chief Information Commissioner and four State Information Commissioners for Odisha Information Commission.
