Odisha Govt changes Id-ul-Zuha holiday date for all its offices to June 29

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today changed the Id-ul-Zuha holiday date for all its offices to June 29, instead of the previously announced date i.e June 30.

A notification issued by Revenue & Disaster Management department read, “In partial modification of this Department Notification No-37021/R&DM, Dated-01.11.2022, the Government of Odisha is pleased to declare holiday on 29.06.2023 (Thursday) instead of 30.06.2023 (Friday) on account of ‘Id-ul-Zuha’ for the State Government offices as well as the Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive).”

“In partial modification of this Department Notification No-37032/R&DM, dated-01.11.2022, the Government of Odisha is pleased to declare under the explanation to Section-25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881), read with the Notification of Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No-20-25-56-Public-I dated the 8th June 1957, the Public Holidays, expressly defined in the said explanation, that the Banks and other Banking Institutions etc in Odisha will remain closed as a holiday on 29.06.2023 (Thursday) instead of 30.06.2023 (Friday) on account of ‘Id-ul-Zuha’,” another notification issued by the department mentioned.
