Odisha: Govt hospital’s OPD closed as staff tests COVID-19 positive

Rourkela:  Authorities of Bonai Sub-divisional Hospital in Sundargarh district closed the Outpatient Department (OPD) for indefinite period after a staff tested positive for COVID-19.

However, patients requiring emergency care will be allowed for treatment at the hospital. Apart from that, all other services will remain suspended, informed SDMO.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sundargarh district is witnessing a sudden spike in positive cases  in the last couple of days. And, Bonai Sub-division has reported over 15 positive cases so far.

The district’s total tally now stands at 616, including 405 active cases. While 209 patients have recovered from the disease, one succumbed to the virus.
