Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has invited suggestions from the common people as well as civil society organisations to draft the annual Budget 2024-25.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has urged the people, civil society organisations, advocacy groups and other stakeholders to give their suggestions and participate in the Budget-making process.

“Our government is people’s government. So, there is need to seek the proposals and opinions of common people for the Budget making process. In order to make the budgetary process more open and participative using Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Finance Department has initiated the process of obtaining inputs for Budget preparation through the dedicated Budget web-portal, e-mail, WhatsApp and SMS,” said the Chief Minister in a statement today.

The Finance Department has invited suggestions in a structured format in the Budget web-portal https://budget.odisha.gov.in/ to prepare full-fledged Annual Budget 2024-25.

Suggestions can also be sent by e-mail to the address [email protected]. Similarly, the people can send their suggestions through WhatsApp to the Mobile number (+91)9438161111, and through social media platforms like X (@FdOdisha), Facebook (@FinanceOdisha) and Instagram (@fdodisha).

The people can send their suggestions and opinions within June 20 and July 5, said the Finance Department.

Notably, the Finance Department has been holding consultations with the cross section of the society to prepare the full-fledged Budget 2024-25.
