Odisha Govt offices in Twin City to work with 50% staff in Oct

Bhubaneswar: The General Administration and Public Grievance Department today directed all State government offices except essential services and offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to function with 50% strength of employees during the month of October.

In an order, the General Administration Department said all Departments of the State government and sub-ordinate Offices in the twin city shall function with 50% strength of employees (including Group-A Officers) during the month October 2020 to ensure that the office work does not suffer.

However, the essential offices and services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, Police, Fire Services, Health Services and Municipal services shall function in full strength. Besides, all officials and staff involved with smooth functioning of the Assembly will attend office on all days of the ongoing session, the order mentioned.

The Departments or Heads of Offices in the twin city will decide the manner of selection of employees who will attend office. Also, all State Government offices throughout the state will remain closed on Saturdays, the order read.

The State government offices were asked to take all precautionary measures to curtail speed of Covid-19.

In case of detection of any Covid case among the office employees, the concerned office will follow the protocol issued by the government.

Besides, the officers and staff, who have been provided with VPN, will work from home when not assigned a roster duty. They must be available to attend to any office work of urgent nature at short notice and be available on telephone at all times, it stated.
