Odisha Govt orders online enrollment of children with disabilities

Bhubaneswar:  The Odisha Government today issued an order directing official concerned for online admission of children with disabilities to different classes of special schools with immediate effect.

In a letter, the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities asked  Social Security Officers of various districts to enroll children with disabilities to special schools for the academic year 2020-21 with immediate effect.

A portal has been developed for processing admission to all the 103 special schools running under Grant in Aid (GIA) fold of the department.

“It is therefore requested that all concerned, particularly staff of special schools may please be instructed to adopt the above system meticulously and facilitate in the admission process,” reads a notification issued  by the department .
