Bhubaneswar: Labour and ESI (L&ESI) department today ordered the Labour Commissioner to conduct a probe into alleged violation of Law by High-Tech Medical College and Hospital authorities here.
Upon receipt of a grievance from the All Odisha Technical and Professional Students Association, the L&ESI Under Secretary Suprava Patra wrote to the Labour Commissioner to submit a detailed report at the earliest.
Worth mentioning, the grievance on violation of labour law by the Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital in Bhubaneswar was earlier received from the Odisha technical and professional students’ outfit.
Hi-Tech Hospital recently hogged the headlines after a blast occurred during AC gas filling at the private health facility on December 29 and due to subsequent identity mess-up of the tragedy victims.
Four persons were injured in the mishap and three of them succumbed while undergoing treatment. The first, second and third deaths were reported on December 30, January 3 and January 6.
