Odisha govt replaces Bhadrak SP, ADM

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Apr 12:

Hours after Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to communal strife-torn Bhadrak town, the state government this evening shunted out district’s Superintendent of Police (SP) and Additional District Magistrate (ADM).

While Bhadrak SP Dilip Das has been transferred and directed to report at the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack, Jajpur SP Anup Sahu has been appointed in his place, official sources said.

Similarly, Talcher Sub Collector Shyambhakt Mishra has been promoted and appointed as the new ADM of Bhadrak in place of Prabhas Bhoi, who has been directed to report at the General Administration Department here, the sources added.

Notably, the state government was facing flak from various quarters for the failure of the police and district administration to contain the flare-up at the initial stage.
