Odisha govt suspends ex Bolangir collector for role in job scam

Bhubaneswar, Sep 10:

The Odisha government on Wednesday suspended former collector of Bolangir Debraj Mishra in connection with the irregularities in the appointment of revenue inspectors (RIs) and amins in 2013.

The government has also ordered the vigilance to initiate criminal proceedings on corruption charges against Mishra for his role in the dubious recruitment process.

Meanwhile, the state crime branch has lodged cases against six officials, including Mishra and four OAS officers, for their role in the scam.
