Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government will bear all educational expenses of Krushna Chandra Ataka, who has cracked NEET examination this year, for his MBBS degree.

Odisha's 5T Secretary VK Pandian informed about Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's decision to the youth that all his educational costs for medical course will be borne by the state government.

After meeting Krushna Chandra Ataka, Pandian congratulated the NEET qualifier for his success in the toughest entrance test.

He also lauded the youth in his Instagram post.

"All the very best Krushna. We are all proud of you and you are an inspiration to all of us. CM Naveen Patnaik has ordered the government to bear the cost of his expenses in medical college,” Pandian wrote on his Instagram handle.

Krushna Chandra Ataka, a 33-year-old from Rayagada district of Odisha and a father of two children, lives in acute poverty. Despite all odds in life, he cleared the NEET Examination and got enrolled in a state-run medical college for MBBS degree.

He had cleared his Plus 2 in 2008. Due to poverty, he could not be able to continue his further studies. He started working as a daily wager for livelihoods. However, he kept his dream alive to become a doctor.

In 2021, Krushna Chandra purchased NCERT books and started preparation for the NEET Examination. He cleared the test this year. He attributes his success to dedicated hard work and strong determination.
