Odisha govt to provide free coaching, boarding to UPSC aspirants

Bhubaneswar: The state government is all set to provide free coaching to at least 200 aspirants for the Civil Services Examinations conducted by the UPSC.

The state government will also provide accommodation to the 200 aspirants, said an official of the Higher Education department.

“The Higher Education department is going to launch a scheme to provide free coaching for UPSC Civil Services Examinations, both Prelims and Mains, with accommodation facilities for 200 aspirants,” said the official.

The enrollment for the said coaching will be through an entrance examination, he added.

“The aspirants will have to apply for enrollment for the entrance examination and download their admit cards online through the website of Higher Education department. The entrance examination will be held on February 26,” said the official.

The Higher Education department, meanwhile, asked the OCAC to develop an online module under the SAMS portal for inviting applications from the aspirants.

“The OCAC has been asked to develop the online module and furnish a detailed report in this regard by February 10,” said the official.
