Odisha Govt to provide free WiFi facility in public university campuses of the State

Bhubaneswar: Government-controlled varsities in Odisha will have free WiFi facility in their respective campuses, a notification issued today by the Higher Education department Special Secretary Ramakanta Nayak to Registrars of all public Universities of the State mentioned.

“In inviting a reference to the subject cited above, I am directed to say that the Government of Odisha intends to provide free WiFi facilities for the students on the campus of the Universities for improvement in the academic environment, as most of the study resources/ books are now-a-days available online,” the Higher Education department notification read.

“Therefore, you are requested to take steps to furnish a detailed estimate including GST and service charges of executing agency for approval regarding the installation of WiFi facilities in the campus of the Universities,” the official communique added.
