Odisha govt to provide Rs 350 monthly TA to physically challenged employees

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of announcing hiked salaries on basis of seventh pay commission’ recommendation for its employees, Odisha government has decided to pay Rs 350 as Travel Allowance (TA) per month to disabled employees working in private sector on government pay scale.

The proposal was approved by Odisha Finance Minister Sashi Bhushan Behera here yesterday.

With the approval of the proposal, the persons with disabilities working in work charged institution, in private colleges and schools where they receive salaries and DA on government pay scale are entitled to get TA of Rs 350 per month.

Earlier, the provision was meant for the disables employees working in only government offices.
